Recruitment Timeline Checklist

For the most comprehensive information on the recruitment process, go to the National Panhellenic Conference’s website: www.npcwomen.org. There is a Parent Information Page that is a great resource.

February

  • Carefully read over your college Panhellenic website for specific details and dates. Every school is different. Our recruitment information is a basic and good common guideline.

  • Schedule portrait sittings, if necessary.

  • Update your resume.

  • Determine which sororities are on your campus.

  • Compile list of alumnae to write Letters of Support (LOS) to have ready when it’s time to

    ask for LOS.

  • Register with Deep South Texas Panhellenic at DeepSouthTexasPanhellenic.com ASAP.

    The absolute last day to register is June 1, 2023.

  • Clean up social media accounts. – This is so important!!!

  • Visit your new campus as much as possible and try to meet sorority women. Call us if you

    need help setting up meetings.

March

  • Register with your college Panhellenic. Fees will apply and late fees may be applicable.

    Check with your college Panhellenic website for specific details. The recruitment

    registration window for each college panhellenic is different.
    (NOTE: Registering with your COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY Panhellenic is different than registering with the Deep South Texas Panhellenic.)

  • Obtain a transcript from your high school. This does not need to be “official.” Black out social security number, if necessary.

  • Visit your new campus as much as possible and try to meet sorority women.

  • Attend Panhellenic Open House on your campus, if offered.

  • Mail complete recruitment packet to Julia Harris at 1400 N. McColl, Suite 205,

    McAllen, TX, 78501 and anyone writing your letters of support (LOS).

  • Follow up by emailing a thank you note to all of your Reference Chairs.

June/July

• When attending your college orientation, make sure to attend any events sponsored by college Panhellenic.

Do Not Submit Recruitment Packet Past Final Deadline, June 1, 2023.
